It's been a while

It's been a while since I have been here. I have dibbled and dabbled with other blogs to try to find my niche in the web. I had a lot of fun with the Smocking Bee for a few weeks, but there wasn't enough interest or response to keep that going.

Alot has gone on since I was last here. The biggest and best news is that I no longer work full time! As of last week, I only work 20 hours per week. It has been such a blessing so far. I now have time to be the wife, mother and woman that I want to be. I work from 12:00 - 4:00 each day (still from home) and am able to spend my mornings sewing, cleaning, reading my Bible, etc.

I haven't done much sewing in the past couple of months. I helped Bridget (my step daughter) sew. She made a pillow and also a pair of PJ pants. I made an adorable top for Hannah. It was a treat to be able to sew for her again. She is now 15 and hasn't asked me to sew for her in years, but we picked out a New Look pattern together, and I had a great time sewing it. She loved it and has worn it several times. :-)
Right now, I am busy making my ornaments for the Martha Pullen Fan Club Christmas ornament swap. This is the 8th year we have done this. This year, my ornaments are minature smocked bishop dresses. I am almost finished with them. They have to be mailed out by Saturday. I will post a picture when I am finished.
